Toyful Music Ensemble invites us to rethink the relationship between music and play in a unique concert at the Kastelliotissa Medieval Hall.

In this eclectic spin-off, the ensemble presents some of the boldest moments from the Toyful Music Festivals 2024 and 2025, blending contemporary creation with the charm of musical toys and other everyday objects. Through intricate graphic scores and spontaneous sonic mischief, the audience is invited to a celebration of imagination. Join us in exploring a world where art meets childlike curiosity, in a concert where sound transforms into play and play into a musical experience!

About

Toyful Music Festival celebrates music by returning to the primary meaning of the concept of "playing", in the framework of music creation and performance. Under the artistic direction of Andys Skordis, Iro Menegou and Michalis Karakatsanis, the festival explores professional musicianship with the use of musical toys and found objects, creating an open dialogue between formal composition and creative curiosity.

The concert will feature works by: Jennifer Ortiz Valverde (EC/US), Luo Mengyong (CN), Yuki Nakahashi (JP/FR), Iro Menegou (GR), Kyriakos Costa (CY), Nikiforos Kourbetis (GR)
